NYC Airport Helicopter Transfers

BLADE Lounge West is right by Hudson Yards at West 30th St, New York, NY 10011.

It takes between 5 and 7 minutes between the heliport and the private terminal. By road, this would take between 40 and 55 minutes depending on traffic conditions.

Transfers are conducted on the Bell 407, one of the world’s most popular helicopters, renowned for its club seating and panoramic windows that offer exceptional views from every seat.

On the helicopter transfer, you are limited to one (1) personal item and one standard wheeled bag (22 in x 16 in 9in) both of which may not exceed 25 lbs. 

Please note that the Aero Legacy 600 jet that operates flights between LA and NYC does not have overhead bins. Your wheeled bag will be checked and our flight attendants will stow your personal item during takeoff and landing, returning it to you during the flight.

Each guest on the Aero flights between Los Angeles and New York City may bring one (1) checked luggage item weighing up to 50lbs (23kg). This is due to weight restrictions and cargo hold capacity on this aircraft.

Since large bags cannot be transported on board the helicopter, you have the option to book a ToteTaxi service, to collect your luggage in advance and deliver it to the private terminal for your Aero departure.

ToteTaxi Service Costs (not covered by Aero):
• $150.00 for the first two pieces of luggage
• $75.00 for each additional piece

• 7:00 AM - 7:30 AM for a 10:00 AM Aero departure
• 9:00 AM - 9:30 AM for 12:00 PM and 03:00 PM Aero departures

Aero and BLADE welcome well-behaved dogs and cats traveling in a carrier, as long as the total weight (pet plus carrier) does not exceed 20 lbs (9 kg).

We can accommodate up to two pets in carriers per flight, accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Once this limit is reached, we will be unable to accept additional pets. Large dogs over 20 lbs are allowed on the BLADE helicopter transfer, but only if there is a free seat.

If you think you will arrive later than 45 minutes prior to Aero flight departure, we recommend that you drive to the private terminal, which address will be in your booking confirmation email or the Aero app.

Please be aware that the check-in time for your Aero flight at the private terminal is no later than 20 minutes before departure. Past that time, we will not be able to check you in.
