Real ID Travel Requirements

Beginning May 7, 2025

Under the REAL ID Act, travelers aged 18 and older must present a REAL ID compliant driver's license or another TSA-accepted form of identification in order to fly within the United States, including when flying with Aero.

If you do not have a REAL ID, you may instead present:

  • A valid U.S. passport or passport card

  • A foreign government-issued passport

  • A DHS Trusted Traveler card (e.g., Global Entry, SENTRI)

  • U.S. military ID (active duty or retired)

  • Permanent resident card

  • Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)

For the full list of accepted documents, please visit the TSA identification page.

To help ensure a seamless experience, we recommend confirming that your ID meets these requirements before your next flight.

You can identify a REAL ID by a star symbol at the top of the card. In some states, such as California, this appears as a bear and star emblem.
